The class of International Master in Business Administration (iMBA) 2026 demonstrated its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility through a meaningful environmental initiative at the SJDM Carbon Forest in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, on May 16, 2026.
In partnership with Earth Recovery Action Inc. and the Karahume Dumagat indigenous community, 19 members participated in a tree-planting and community engagement activity, resulting in the planting of 200 native tree seedlings. Guided by the Dumagat community, the students actively took part in mulching, watering, and nurturing the seedlings, gaining valuable insights into environmental stewardship and indigenous knowledge.
The initiative was fully organized by the iMBA 2026 cohort, who also took the lead in securing sponsorships to support the activity. The Alumni Association of the Asian Institute of Management, Inc. (AAAIM) played a vital role as one of the key sponsors of the initiative, providing support that helped make the project possible and demonstrating its continued commitment to student-led programs that promote sustainability, leadership, and community engagement.
As shared by its Class President, Cris Robert Raymundo, "The iMBA 2026 cohort extends its sincerest gratitude to the AIM Alumni Association, Earth Recovery Action Inc., and the Karahume Dumagat community for making this day possible. The forest will grow. So will we. As we move towards becoming the industry leaders that will shape our respective countries, our cohort remembers to contribute to greater causes outside of the classroom setting. I’m proud to say that everyone in our cohort shares the same values and qualities that represent the ideal AIM alumni. I know that we will all continue to do good work beyond our time as students, and I look forward to hearing the individual successes that each of us will achieve in the near future.”
