The Alumni Association of AIM, Inc. (AAAIM) recently held a grace-filled Jubilee Pilgrimage organized and led by former AAAIM Chair Ms. Ofel Odilao-Bisnar (MBM 1988), with spiritual guidance from Fr. Tito Soquiño, OSA, (MDM 1999). The day brought together alumni, family, and friends in a shared journey of faith, reflection, and renewal.
First stop is at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Sucat, Parañaque. The gentle orientation and Holy Mass—concelebrated with Fr. Tito Soquino grounded us in gratitude and humility. The Rite of Reconciliation offered a sacred pause for forgiveness and inner peace, while passing through the Holy Door became a personal moment of opening ourselves to God’s tender mercy. Many felt a lightness and rekindling of hope. Pilgrims were also blessed with Miraculous Medals given by the priests.
At the Shrine of St. Padre Pio, we were welcomed into a place of healing, where AAAIM Chair Mr. Felix Tiukinhoy shared a personal testimony of faith.
We offered prayers for our families, friends, and special intentions. A hearty Batangas lunch of lomi and bulalo provided fellowship and comfort—truly a blessed part of our day.
The pilgrimage reached its beautiful culmination at the San Sebastian Cathedral in Lipa City. We were providentially graced by the presence of the original 15th-century Byzantine icon of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, visiting from Rome. Our devotional time, catechesis, and reflections brought together everything we had received throughout the day—gratitude, healing, forgiveness, and a renewed mission of faith.
Before heading home, pilgrims enjoyed coffee and delicious snacks at IJO Bakery, graciously sponsored by Mr. Joel Umali Peña (ME 2000), whose family owns the establishment.
Along the way, we shared prayers, stories, laughter, and fellowship—strengthening our bonds as an alumni community. Through this journey, we were reminded that beyond being pilgrims, we are called to be bearers of hope, renewed in faith and mission.
