As part of its 50th-anniversary celebration, the Asian Institute of Management and the Federation of AIM Alumni Associations, Inc. (FAIM) paid tribute to alumni who have excelled in various fields of professional, entrepreneurial or development work. Five outstanding alumni have conferred the AIM Alumni Achievement Award (Triple A) in formal ceremonies last March 08, 2018, at the Stephen Fuller Hall at the AIM campus.
The Triple A Award is the most prestigious recognition given by AIM and the alumni community to its exceptional graduates. The recipients of the Alumni Achievement Award for 2018 are the following:
Dr. Sangkee Min, MBM 1973 Professor Emeritus College of Business Administration-Seoul National University Seoul, South Korea
Mr. Mangina Srinivas Rao, MBM 1987 Founder, MV Rao Foundation for Agriculture and Development International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), International Crops Research Institute for Semi Avid, Tropics Telangan, India
Mr. Sanjiv Sarin, MM 1984 Managing Director and CEO Tata Coffee Ltd. Karnataka, India
Ms. Victoria P. Garchitorena, MDP 1974 Former President, Ayala Foundation Inc. SPARK (Samahan ng mga Pilipinas para sa Reporma at Kaunlaran), Philippines
Mr. Mo Wei-Han, MM 1991 President, Ruentex Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd., Taiwan ROC.
Mr. Jose Ma. Emmanuel "Digoy" Fernandez, MBM 1973 received an honorary Triple A award in affirmation of his leadership and visionary commitment to the ideals of the AIM Alumni, thus helping to establish in 1978, both the Federation of AIM Alumni Associations, Inc. (FAIM) and the AIM Alumni Achievement Awards (Triple A).
The awardees were presented their AIM medals and the traditional Triple A trophies by AIM President and Dean Dr. Jikyeong Kang, AIM Chairman Mr. Peter Garrucho and Chairman of FAIM, Dani Firmansjah, MM 1994.
