AAAIM supports Atikha's 4th Batch SIYB Training

The Alumni Association of AIM, Inc. (AAAIM) has partnered with ATIKHA, a non-governmental organization that provides economic and social services to OFWs and their families in collaboration with NEDA, Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA), and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). AAAIM also contributed to their project, "Balikabayanihan: Start And Improve Your Business (SIYB) for OFWs and Families” for the 2 Batches to date.

The project's goal is to help repatriate OFWs by providing business training and connecting them with government agencies that can extend funding and other technical assistance.

SYIB completed its 4th batch with 31 participants whose training began last August 25, 2021. Graduation was last November 9, 2021. Fifteen AIM Alumni volunteered to be mentors and guide them through their business plans during the training.

AAAIM Chairman, Mr. Michael Sherwin Macatangay, gave the congratulatory remarks "One of the most wonderful and valuable approaches in ensuring our AIM alumni engagement is through the different notable projects and activities of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee headed by our AAAIM Past Chair Coratec Jimenez. Our CSR committee exemplifies our AIM alumni association’s social awareness, compassion, and selfless service by involving ourselves in addressing the different problems and challenges happening in our local communities. On behalf of our AAAIM, congratulations to all the participants. We are committed to continuously supporting this valuable and noble partnership project with all the partner government agencies and volunteer organizations headed by ATIKHA. Rest assured that our AIM Alumni Association and all our volunteer AIM Alumni mentors will continue to live our mantra which is to Lead, to Inspire, and to Transform. We will continue to do good while doing well as we make positive changes in the lives of many because we are AIM alumni and that Leadership we Live It!"

He received a certificate of recognition along with AAAIM CSR Head, Ms. Coratec Jimenez, for their assistance in mobilizing alumni mentors.

Thank you very much to our dear alumni mentors. Congratulations to everyone who participated, and best of luck with your businesses!
