The Alumni Association of the Asian Institute of Management, Inc. (AAAIM) recently convened a Batch Assembly Meeting designed to enhance alumni engagement and strengthen inclusive representation across celebrating batches. The event, held as part of the implementation of the newly approved Batch Rotational Framework, marked an important milestone in aligning alumni leadership with the evolving structure outlined in the amended AAAIM By-Laws (Article XI, Section 4).

The assembly was hosted by former AAAIM Trustee Mr. CJ Jesena (MBM 1988), who served as emcee. He warmly welcomed the attendees, acknowledged their active participation, and facilitated the open forum and Q&A session, encouraging meaningful dialogue throughout the gathering.

AAAIM Chairman, Mr. Bobby Benares (MBM 1979), opened the session with a message of gratitude and collaboration. He underscored the value of active alumni involvement and introduced the members of the Nomination and Elections Committee (NOMELEC), the body responsible for overseeing the nomination process.
Former AAAIM Chair and NOMELEC Head Ms. Ofel Odilao-Bisnar (MBM 1988) delivered a comprehensive overview of the committee’s role and the significance of the Batch Assembly. She defined a batch representative as someone selected, elected, or appointed by their batch who serves as an active liaison, is willing to be nominated to the AAAIM Board of Trustees, and helps update the batch directory. The Assembly served as a platform to present the inclusive provision for nominating batch representatives, foster alignment among batch leaders, and confirm nominees ahead of the AAAIM Annual Membership Meeting.
The meeting also featured a presentation by former AAAIM Chairman Mr. Greg Atienza (MBM 1983), who explained the newly adopted Batch Rotational Framework. He shared insights into its structure and goals and introduced the initial nominees from the upcoming Homecoming celebrating classes.
The Batch Assembly served as an important step toward strengthening structured and equitable representation, aligning with AAAIM’s goal of building a more connected and engaged alumni community.
We want to thank you all for coming to the assembly. Your gracious presence demonstrates your invaluable commitment to the school and leadership for your batch.
