ON TAX BENEFITS AND TAX EXEMPTIONS
How do I claim tax benefits?
In the Philippines, corporations qualify for tax incentives when they comply with substantive and procedural requirements which include:
1. The corporate donor must be a BIR-registered taxpayer
2. Donation must be evidenced by legal documents
The documents required to claim tax benefits are as follows:
1. Deed of Donation and Acceptance (DOD) executed by the donor and the donee corporations
2. Official receipt and Certificate of Donation issued by the donee to the donor
We are required to execute the Deed of Donations and Acceptance within 30 days of receipt of the donation. The Certificate of Donation must likewise be stamped by the BIR within 30 days. To meet these statutory guidelines, AIM SRF shall issue an official receipt upon acceptance of the donation and send to the donor the DOD within 7 days. The Certificate of Donation shall be prepared after the DOD is notarized. It is therefore important for the donor to return the DOD as soon as possible to AIM SRF so that it may be notarized.
Can donors from the United States get tax exemption for their donation to AIM?
Yes, but only if they use the following facility to make their donations:
Give2Asia – www.give2asia.org

Can donors from Canada get tax exemptions for their donation to AIM?
No tax exemption is available for AIM donors from Canada.
What tax benefits can those from other countries receive if they donate to AIM?
AIM SRF does not yet have arrangements for tax benefits for donations in other countries (only Philippines and U.S.).
